Production Notes: Pattie Gonia or They/She/He is an intersectional environmentalist and drag queen working to diversify the outdoors. Their partnership with Hoka was well considered and required a lot of runway before our production was awarded. Their community activations were always manifested thru social media outreach and did not adhere to any formal corporate protections. From a liability standpoint how do we embrace this mission of advocacy but protect our client and their commitment to support a commercial event. We created a process where the group safety, location permissions and opportunity to capture honest conversations was established. Along the way we made a lasting friendship, truly understanding what it means to be an ally.
