Production Notes: This is definitely one of my all time personal favorites. The idea, the talent, the art, the entire process. We bid this project with PES and others but they were cost prohibited for our ambitions. Then found our Aussie Jonathon on vimeo, got him a work visa, airbnb, and a prime space to create for two weeks. We built a custom light box with integrated camera mount, engineered a powered stage platform then rigged every working appliance as a practical element. Everything was shot in camera. Even the end frame where we fabricated custom logo letters and a brand tagline light up marquee. The magic is quite evident. We even found “Chase the Sun” by a kiwi band to keep it close to home. That was fun.
